UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Equality Common's is a new development consisting of fifty-four units of senior housing on approximately 13,595 SF of land. The building will offer a variety of unit sizes, including twelve efficiency units (501–525 SF), thirty-four one-bedroom units (567–715 SF), and eight two-bedroom units (798–837 SF).

Nineteen units will be accessible (with twelve additional units pledged beyond the required seven), ensuring inclusivity for all residents. At least 60% of the units will be reserved for households earning 50% AMI or less, with the remaining units available for households earning 60% AMI or less. MaineHousing will provide eleven project-based vouchers (20% of total units) for individuals with special needs.

The development will feature a community room, laundry facilities, bike storage, and broadband infrastructure designed to support Telemonitoring and/or Telehealth services. The property will also include electrical conduits for future installation of Level 2 electric vehicle chargers in the parking area and the potential for PV solar panels on the roof, with an electrical panel sized to support both upgrades.

The development is slated for completion in the summer of 2026.
